Haven Caravelli - Pilates and Body code

Haven Caravelli, born and raised in Nevada County, has been a dancer since the age of two. During her formative years, she danced with several local dance studios and competed in numerous dance competitions around Northern California. Professionally, Haven has taken master classes with Los Angeles based Tremaine Dance Company  and nationally recognized Dupree Dance Academy. She has been teaching multiple forms of dance at Sierra Dance Institute for over 6 years.

To better incorporate her love of dance and respect for the human body she was certified with Integrated Teacher Training PIlates in 2005. Integrated Teacher Training is a comprehensive training program using the exercises developed by Joseph Pilates to understand and appreciate movement, with sound bio mechanics. Haven is also certified in Bodykey and Master Stretch from Italy with Kelly and Victor Uygan, and Bodycode with founder Pino Carbone. Haven's extensive training and years of teaching have made her a true healer. She works from the perspective of rehabilitation therapy as well as conditioning the body to be healthy and work more efficiently. Haven has been a teacher at Center of Movement  for the past 3 years, she is now the proud owner and welcomes you to visit the new facilities on Main Street in downtown Grass Valley.

Crissy Jory - Pilates and Body code

Crissy Jory was certified in Pilates with world renowned Master Teacher Rael Isacowitz founder of Body Arts and Sciences International in 1998, and completed her certification in the Bodycode System from Italy with Kelly and Victor Uygan and founder Pino Carbone in 2003. She has an impressive list of credentials, degrees and experiences that shows her obvious love and passion for learning and education.  
She is the previous 15 year owner and director of the Center of Movement Pilates and Bodycode Studio in Grass Valley, and now resides with her family and new studio in Lake Tahoe Ca. The years of experience, knowledge and growth in the industry differentiates her from the masses of teachers and educators. She is a skilled Neuromuscular Therapist, an accomplished Bodyworker, and she also has a complimentary background which encompasses a decade long experience in athletic conditioning, postural assessment, exercise science, imagery, visceral anatomy, Yoga and Holistic Health. She is a true body engineer with a natural and sensitive ability to work with the anatomy and physiology of the body.  Along with her spirited nature, her colorful background of experiences, and her passion to teach, there is a constant fascination and interest in the body, its movements, and its healing abilities.  This is what drives her higher caliber of abilities to creatively weave bodywork, movement, and earth centered medicine together in a way that educates, inspires and enhances our quality of life. This also provides her with the experience and knowledge to create an elite program for any individual and pushes her own explorations of rock climbing, biking, skiing and running.

Susan Wilson - Pilates and Body code

Susan Wilson began her involvement in Pilates eight years ago and has been teaching for four years. She has taken Pilates workshops with Crissy Jory and Sharon Richardson.
She has a level 2 certification in Body Key through the Artform studio in Laguna Beach, Ca. She has attended anatomy classes with Dean Juhan at Yogakula studio in Berkeley, Ca.

Brianna Cohn - Pilates and Body code

Brianna Cohn became an ITT Certified Comprehensive Pilates Instructor in 2011. She earned her BA in 2008 from Humboldt State University in Interdisciplinary Studies: Dance as Language and Culture. Her dance training began at the age of 5. In 2000, she began teaching jazz, hip-hop and tumbling classes in Salisbury, MA. Brianna was a member of multiple small dance companies in New England, and is now a member of the Movement Alliance Dance Theater Company in Nevada City. She has had the opportunity to take master classes with Teresa Espinosa, Dave Scott, Michael Foley, Clyde Evans Jr., Katiti King, Stacey Printz and more. She also teaches various styles of dance at Sierra Dance Institute in Grass Valley.
